This site has gone to hell over the last several months. It was nice when we had several updates a day, the Create a Caption contest, and other updated stuff. What is going on AA??

When do we get the NFL post?

Or can I just assume that Nantz and Simms are blowing off Indy/Tennessee to cover the Patriots and Dolphins?

I can already figure that Buck and Aikman are doing the Cowboys/Giants game

Here are week 13's NFL announcers for Sunday.

Eagles @ Falcons - Kenny Albert/Daryl Johnston/Tony Siragusa
Buccaneers @ Panthers - Ron Pitts/John Lynch
Rams @ Bears - Dick Stockton/Trent Green
Lions @ Bengals - Thom Brennaman/Brian Billick/Laura Okmin
Saints @ Redskins - Sam Rosen/Tim Ryan/Nischelle Turner
Cowboys @ Giants - Joe Buck/Troy Aikman/Pam Oliver (duh)
49ers @ Seahawks - Chris Myers/Ross Tucker/Jaime Maggio

FYI, Fox initially planned on using Barry Tompkins and Eddie George on Bucs @ Panthers, but they didn't need to when Brennaman and Billick became available after NBC took Vikes @ Cards (fox moved Pitts and Lynch from Cincy to Carolina).

Titans @ Colts - Ian Eagle/Rich Gannon
Texans @ Jaguars - Gus Johnson/Steve Tasker
Broncos @ Chiefs - Dick Enberg/Dan Fouts
Patriots @ Dolphins - Jim Nantz/Phil Simms
Raiders @ Steelers - Greg Gumbel/Dan Dierdorf
Chargers @ Browns - Kevin Harlan/Solomon Wilcots

So........the excuse we were given at the beginning of the year for Nantz and Sims covering the Jets and/or Patriots every week was that "we set out our schedules in advance."

Well, CBS JUST FOUND OUT LAST FUCKING WEEK THAT THEY WERE GETTING THIS GAME! This game wasn't even going to be on CBS until NBC flexed Favre.

So what's your excuse now for an okay (but not great) Patriots team playing a team that won't even make the playoffs?

Fuck you, CBS.

What makes it even stranger is that Nantz and Simms were originally going to be in Indy, but I guess CBS couldn't stand to have one of their lower rung teams call the Patriots game (even though Ian Eagle did call the game where the Wildcat was essentially introduced to the NFL). Once the flex was made, CBS moved Nantz and Simms to Miami and used Eagle and Gannon (who weren't assigned to a game yet) in Indy.

Hey Kibab- I have to agree with you as much as I hate to say it, this blog doesn't seem to be updated that much enough which is a shame. Its still a fun blog though!
